National Drive Electric Month is an annual, nationwide celebration to raise awareness of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles and bikes. Local events will provide opportunities for the public to experience a wide range of electric vehicles, connect with EV owners and learn how to take advantage of financial incentives before they expire on September 30!

SLO Climate Coalition is hosting three events in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo, Air Pollution Control District of SLO County, Central Coast Community Energy and Central Coast Clean Cities Coalition.

National Drive Electric Month brings the Central Coast together to celebrate local climate action. These events align with the City of San Luis Obispo’s leadership in climate action as we work toward the ambitious goal of carbon neutrality by 2035.

SLO Climate Coalition Green Transportation Specialist, Barry Rands, notes, “Driving electric is not only great for the environment, it also offers significant savings and a better driving experience. We want to show people just how easy and beneficial it is to make the switch.”
