Matthew Richardson has been named Chief Financial Officer at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. In that capacity he will oversee all financial, accounting, admitting, case management, information systems, health information systems and materials management functions at San Luis Obispo County’s largest hospital. Richardson will begin his duties September 29.
“Matt Richardson has all of the qualities Sierra Vista seeks in a senior leader,” said Joe DeSchryver, chief executive officer. “Not only does Matt have strong financial, organizational and leadership skills, he also has a personal value set that will be conducive to his success at our hospital.”
For the past 13 years, Richardson held the position of controller/director of financial development for Dignity Health – Central Coast Service Area. In that capacity he had oversight of the financial performance at French Hospital and Arroyo Grande Hospital and consolidating entities. Prior to that he was a financial analyst and assistant to the CFO/COO at Marin Individual Practice Association in Northern California.
Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Sonoma State University and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
