Until now, the mental health needs for those seeking an intensive level of care, (meaning three hours a day and up to three days a week), residents of the Central Coast had no other options than to travel to the bay area or down to Southern California to have access to this level of care.

Balance Treatment Programs’ offers an intensive outpatient program for mental health as well as for drug and alcohol treatment, providing care for adolescents and adults.

According to feedback provided by local junior and high school counselors, in the past, students had no option than to be removed from their schooling activities and even drop-out of school completely in order to maintain the proper level of treatment their medical provider suggested or required.

Balance Treatment Programs provides an average of 10 hours a week of clinical treatment, primarily in the form of group treatment, after school hours. Licensed marriage and family therapists facilitate cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, mindfulness therapies, insight oriented process group, multi-family group and healing yoga. Balance Treatment Programs provides separate tracks for Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol that typically run for two to three months, three times a week (24-36 sessions), depending on client need/progress. Balance Treatment takes all major insurance.
