big brothers big sisters legacy award

Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County recently honored local Century 21 Realtor Claire Vollmer, of Arroyo Grande, at the agency’s Big Event. The 2017 Legacy Award was presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Anna Boyd-Bucy to honor Vollmer’s 20 years of service, which included raising more than $100,000 for the organization.

“Claire has been involved in founding our Realtor’s Circle, fundraising through our Community Support Campaign, helping with special events and referring volunteers. Claire is a founding Legacy Leader, is adding Big Brothers Big Sisters to her estate plans, and is committing to donate $1,000 for each person who joins her. Claire is personally changing lives of local youth, for the better, forever,” said Boyd-Bucy.

“I am so thankful to be a part of this organization, affecting positive change and creating wonderful outcomes for our local children. I am very proud of the work that we do. And to be added to this esteemed Legacy group with friends who continually inspire me to do more? Priceless!” said, Vollmer.

In previous years, the agency has honored: Clint Pearce, Bill Jodry, Carol Florence, Hal Sweasey, Bryan Gingg, John E.D. Nicholson and Karen Colombo.
