The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County has awarded $600,000 in grants to more than 60 nonprofits throughout the County. The grants will benefit programs providing services in the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, homelessness, environment, early literacy, youth and youth sports, LGBTQIA advancement, and issues facing women and girls.

“We are proud to continue to support local non-profit organizations and the work they do for our County,” said Heidi McPherson, chief executive officer of The Community Foundation.

Last year, The Community Foundation awarded more than $2 million in grants and scholarships, with more than 80% of grant funding remaining in San Luis Obispo County. Support from The Community Foundation continues to grow thanks to the hundreds of individuals, families, local businesses, and private foundations that work with The Community Foundation to advance philanthropy in our county.
