On Wednesday May 1, 2013, a time capsule will be buried in honor of Cuesta College’s 50th anniversary. The burial will take place at Cougar Park on the San Luis Obispo campus at 1:30p.m.
The capsule is being built by the Cuesta College welding program students and will contain items that have contributed to significant events that occurred at the college in the year 2013. These items will include various planning documents, the integrated planning model, T-shirt and accreditation documents. The capsule will be dug up in 25 years.
“This time capsule is significant in that it will commemorate all aspects of the college as it is today and will represent students, faculty, staff and administration,” said Superintendant/President Dr. Gil Stork.
The public is welcome to attend. Cake and refreshments will be provided by the Cuesta College Alumni Association.
