Paying homage to Mother Nature, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center will highlight their commitment to going green during this year’s Earth Day Celebration on April 18, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sierra Vista has an ongoing effort to reduce, reuse and recycle resources through environmentally-friendly practices. The hospital does its part in reducing paper use and decreasing water and electricity consumption, as well as the amount of overall waste being taken to local landfills.

Earth Day Festivities Include:

  • Campus Cleanup: Employees and volunteers will walk around campus and through the neighboring community to pick up trash. Walk begins at 11:30 a.m.
  • eWaste Recycling: Employees can bring in old televisions, computers and stereos for proper recycling in order to divert these items from going to our local landfills.
  • Sustainable Food Options: Sierra Vista is committed to building sustainable food systems. Employees will sample delicious foods, local produce and pick up easy recipes to use at home. There will also be fresh pressed juice available from The Neighborhood.

Location: Sierra Vista Outpatient Services Patio, 1010 Murray Avenue in San Luis Obispo
