The Human Resources Association of the Central Coast’s (HRCC) August Professional Development Meeting will host speaker Jean Steel and her presentation “Understanding the Generational Workplace.” It will take place on Tuesday, August 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Madonna Inn. RSVP at www.HRACC.net by August 9 at noon. Lunch will include roast sirloin of beef, au gratin potatoes or steamed veggies, and boysenberry cobbler.

Each month, the HRCC holds professional development meetings to discuss labor relations, legislation, cutting edge strategic planning options, and employer resources critical to the success of doing business on the Central Coast.

In August, HRCC is proud to present Jean Steel, founder of “Happy People Win”—which offers programs and webinars to improve and maintain an uplifting, positive work environment. In any professional setting, employees and managers must to learn to communicate respectfully and effectively with each other, regardless of age, background, or experience. In this engaging and entertaining HRCC presentation, Jean will present unique, practical ways to create an understanding of generational differences, and show you how to embrace those differences to build a happier, more productive working environment.

Born the eldest of five children, Jean Steel spent her formative years—ages 7 to 17—in Africa and Asia. That decade on unfamiliar, foreign soil helped her to cultivate the confidence, strength, and resilience many of us work a lifetime to achieve. Jean founded “Happy People Win” soon after she earned her Master’s Degree in Wellness and has been speaking and teaching across the nation for more than 20 years. Jean has also published a book, Learning to Run Wild: A Wellness Action Guide, strengthening her message by helping readers to clarify values, plan and manage their time, pursue their passions, and cultivate gratitude.
