Homes in the first phase of the new Serra Meadows community off Prado Road are going fast. Twelve of the first 17 highly anticipated homes are already reserved.
“We are pleased with the response to our first phase and the buyers’ enthusiasm for the neighborhood’s eco features and solar energy systems,” said Chris Richardson, managing partner of Richardson Properties. “We expect the upcoming phases to be even more popular.”
Well-known local builder Mangano Homes is partnering with Resmark, an established investment company, to develop Serra Meadows. Richardson Properties is handling the sales and marketing for the community of 177 homes.
The early Serra Meadows buyers in San Luis Obispo reflect the steady increase in home sales throughout California. Studies show new communities like this are experiencing pent-up demand, causing housing sales this year to increase steadily month after month. Recent housing data reports by research firm DataQuick show sales this summer of new and used homes and condos as the highest since 2005.
Each Serra Meadows home is offered in three unique elevations (Bungalow, Craftsman and Spanish), and includes a solar energy system, along with other luxurious finishes such as granite slab counters, concrete paver hardscapes and nine foot ceilings. Homes are competitively priced, starting in the mid-$500,000s.
