For the past 22 years the San Luis Obispo community has generously united together to provide our County’s homeless with an unforgettable Christmas Dinner Party held at the Odd Fellow’s Hall at 4:00pm on Christmas Day (12/25/2019). This event is used as a means of providing local homeless with care package items they need to get through our cold wet winters. While guests are enjoying a decadent holiday meal, they are entertained by musicians from local bands. Following dessert, they are escorted to the care package center where they traditionally receive brand new: sleeping bags, hooded sweatshirts, socks, field jackets, underwear, knitted beanies, and toiletry bags. Last year, more than 500 Winter Care Packages were distributed.

Please help United Way to continue this tradition by donating to the winter clothing care package fund. All donations will be used for the purchase of care package items so that they can provide each homeless guest with a brand new Winter Care Package for Christmas. These items make a tremendous difference in helping support our local homeless neighbors.
You can donate by going to the United Way of San Luis Obispo County website at www.unitedwayslo.org/carepackages to donate online, you can text CAREPACKAGES to 44321 from your mobile phone or donations can be made by mailing in a check to:
