SLO Spoke founders Kaesha Freyaldenhoven and Taylor Gater present Little Brother Jacob with his new bike.

SLO Spoke Folk, a student-run non-profit founded by San Luis Obispo High School Seniors Taylor Gater and Kaesha Freyaldenhoven, is dedicated to providing bicycles to those in need. Their goal is to help others lead a healthier life-style, gain some independence, and give them opportunities that weren’t available before. By repairing donated bicycles, SLO Spoke Folk was able to donate bikes to 17 children in the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs, during the holiday break. Each child also received a helmet donated by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, and a lock provided by Art’s Cyclery.
