A Place to GrowA Place to Grow Recycled Greenhouses has moved to a new location in San Luis Obispo and is celebrating the move with a Grand Opening Ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 2 – 5 p.m. at 445 B Prado Road, San Luis Obispo. Come join them in listening to live music by local band Panga Music and have some complimentary food and beverages.

A Place to Grow, Recycled Greenhouses is an environmentally friendly company that creates greenhouses, and other unique outdoor spaces out of recycled and reclaimed materials, keeping materials out of the landfill and re-purposing them into functional art. From 100-year-old barn wood or urban forested lumber, to re-purposed marine wood once used in a bait barge or 50s era windows, all materials are custom crafted into structures with the utmost of attention to detail, making each outdoor structure as unique as the reclaimed materials used to build it.

“We are passionate about creating sacred spaces for our clients to grow in whether it is a greenhouse, meditation retreat or artist studio,” said Dana O’Brien, A Place to Grow co-owner. ”We believe that each of the unique materials we use in our structures adds to the story that each structure tells and having our own space to create these functional pieces of art gives us the ability to explore all the possibilities that exist in the world of re-purposing, re-claiming and recycling materials into something different than they started out as.”

A Place to Grow also specializes in creating potting tables, mission tile succulent gardens and assorted other products made from re-purposed materials. They will be raffling these items off at their Grand Opening Celebration.

A Place to grow believes in supporting children’s causes and has done so recently by donating a “recycled greenhouse to the Montessori Children’s School of San Luis Obispo.
