Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School (Mission College Prep) named Alexis Lomeli the new head coach of the men’s soccer program. Lomeli assumed the role October 23, 2017.
“When we considered the possible candidates to take over the men’s soccer program, Alexis was at the top of the list. He has the coaching experience we were hoping for and he aligns with our institutional values of faith, sportsmanship, teamwork and general excellence,” said Mike Susank, principal of Mission College Prep. “His experience at the college and high school level, understanding of the requirements needed to lead a team, and a proven ability to build a successful team were all aspects we felt were vital for the next coach. We all know Alexis will be fully committed to preparing the players to be young men of scholarship, inspiration and leadership.”
“I take great pride in all I do when it comes to soccer,” said Lomeli. “My goals for the men’s soccer program is to make the program competitive and to work our way up the standings year to year ultimately qualifying for CIF.”
