paddle outAmpSurf will hold its annual 9/11Paddle Out on Tuesday September 11th, 2018. This year’s paddle out will happen across the country in three locations at 10:28am, the time the North Tower collapsed in New York. Each AmpSurf Chapter; California, New York and New England will observe the moment with a traditional surf paddle out and remembrance wreath laying in the ocean.  The California paddle out will be held at the Addie St. Beach access in Pismo Beach, New England will be at Nantasket, MA and New York at the 67th St. Beach Access in the Rockaways. All are invited to attend these events on shore or in the water, those going into the water must bring their own surf gear, including surfboard and wetsuit. They must also be able to get in and out of the water for the event on their own.

Anyone who is unable to attend these three events is encouraged to assemble on their own and paddle out at their local break or any body of water to mark the moment. Please send all pictures of your gathering to AmpSurf via the [email protected] email address. Below is a list of the AmpSurf representatives who are coordinating the paddle out in the three chapter locations, please sign-up for the event via the website at www.AmpSurf.org and if you have any specific questions, please direct them to the AmpSurf representative closest to your location.
