The Big West Conference recently announced that it has secured Southern California-based Amtrak® Pacific Surfliner® to serve as title sponsor of the 2020 Big West Basketball Tournament.
The 2020 Amtrak® Pacific Surfliner® Big West Basketball
Tournament will be played March 10-11 at Long Beach State and March 12-14 at
Honda Center in Anaheim. The deal was procured in partnership with
Learfield IMG College.
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Pacific Surfliner as the
title sponsor of the 45th annual Big West Basketball Tournament,” said Big West

2018 and has continued to evolve.”
As the title sponsor, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner will receive prominent exposure
on Big West campuses and at the basketball tournament. Honda Center, the host
tournament site for the 10th straight year, is located within walking distance
of the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, providing easy access
to Pacific Surfliner service. All 14 men’s and women’s tournament contests will
be broadcasted over ESPN linear and digital platforms.
“We are excited to partner with the Big West Conference and
engage with college sports fans as well as the students and families affiliated
with BWC member institutions along our route,” said Al Murray, chairman of the
Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor Agency, which oversees
the Pacific Surfliner service.
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner entered into partnership with the Big West to promote
