Band applications to participate in the 23rd season of Concerts in the Plaza are now available online at DowntownSLO.com. Downtown SLO is looking for exceptional California-based talent to entertain the crowds at this seminal free summer music series that takes place every Friday beginning June 8, 2018 and ending September 7, 2018. Last year, 14 bands were selected from over 90 applicants, the first time that applications from throughout the state of California were accepted.
Band applications are due no later than 4 PM on Wednesday, January 31. Interested bands can download and complete an application at DowntownSLO.com. Applicants must also submit a demo CD or link to digital music, headshot and bio, and any other relevant supporting materials.
Band line-up will be released by approximately March 16, 2018. Bands receive $750 for their performance as well as robust marketing and promotional coverage via social media, advertising, posters, and more. We want to extend our tremendous thank you to the incredible local and regional talent that has made Concerts in the Plaza possible for 23 years!
