housing trust fundThe Bank of America Foundation has contributed $5,000 to the San Luis Obispo County Housing Trust Fund.

“Bank of America funds critical needs nonprofits because people with better access to education, jobs, affordable housing and food gain personal and financial stability that contributes to the overall success for San Luis Obispo,” said Greg Bland, Central Coast market president at Bank of America, in a statement.

“Bank of America continues to be a very generous supporter,” adds Jerry Rioux, the Housing Trust Fund’s executive director.  “Over the years, the bank has contributed over $100,000 to support our efforts to increase the supply of affordable housing in San Luis Obispo County.”

The HTF is a nonprofit corporation that was formed in 2003 to increase the supply of affordable housing in San Luis Obispo County.  Rather than develop, own or manage affordable housing, the HTF provides financing and technical assistance to help private developers, nonprofit agencies and local governments create and preserve homes that working families, seniors and persons with disabilities can afford to rent and buy.  The HTF has provided over $16 million in financing to assist 572 affordable homes in the county.  Additional information is available online at www.slochtf.org.
