Experts Exchange, a leading Internet community for technology problem solving, is pleased to announce the hiring of Brian Clausen as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. The hiring of Clausen is a part of a concerted investment the company is making in its next stage of growth.

Clausen brings more than fifteen years of executive-level experience in the software/Internet industry across the management teams of three companies, including his most recent position as Senior Vice President at Shopatron. While at Shopatron, he oversaw the acquisition of more than 1,000 new clients and a near-tenfold increase in revenue.

“Brian is a very talented and capable leader who has played a prominent role in the San Luis Obispo technology community over the past ten years,” explains Randy Redberg, Chairman of the board for Experts Exchange. “He understands how to leverage the assets of our local economy in driving growth, which is critical for Experts Exchange as we seek to maintain our strong corporate culture through our future evolution.”

Brian’s previous management experience includes roles as Senior Vice President at Shopatron, VP of Sales and Marketing at Web Associates, now Rosetta, and head of Professional Services and Product Marketing at Sunnyvale-based Vigilance, now part of Infor. Brian holds Masters and Bachelors degrees from Stanford University, is on the board of directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates of San Luis Obispo County and coaches youth baseball and basketball.
