Claire Clark, the city’s former economic development manager, is returning to the private sector as a project consultant. Her first gig: serving as interim executive director of The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County. Clark will officially begin on Oct. 1. She will lead the organization as it seeks to replace Barry VanderKelen who announced his resignation in August. Clark, who had been serving on the organization’s board of directors, will transition The Community Foundation at least through the end of the year.
