In the wake of the devastating fires affecting northern California, The Community Foundation has opened its Disaster Support Fund and waived all administrative fees to provide urgent assistance to organizations working on the ground in northern California. Fellow community members are encouraged to visit www.cfsloco.org to learn more and make their contribution today to this fund.

Firefighters, first responders and charitable organizations play a critical role in battling the destruction and providing support to the victims of the northern California fires. Through the Disaster Support Fund, The Community Foundation hopes to offer an avenue for San Luis Obispo County to unite and share in supporting the victims and heroes of these fires.

“Our thoughts and hearts are with those impacted by the fires throughout northern California,” said Heidi McPherson, CEO of The Community Foundation. “These challenging times remind us, that as a community, our reach must extend beyond the boundaries of our county to connect with our neighbors affected by these fires.”
