The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County (CFSLOCO) is proud to welcome Len Smolburd as Grants Manager. Smolburd will be responsible for the management and coordination of the Foundations’ grants and scholarships programs. Smolburd will primarily focus on building strong relationships with the nonprofit community and administering grants programs that reflect the Foundation’s commitment to support those needs and issues across the county.
“Len brings a spirit of helping others that will serve our donors and grantees well in his new role at the Foundation,” said CFSLOCO Grants Committee Chair Claire Clark. Smolburd is an experienced grant manager, who has overseen a diverse portfolio of private, local and federal grants to support youth and families among underserved Bay Area communities. He comes to the Central Coast from San Francisco where he spent over a decade with the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco, Smolburd joined The Community Foundation on May 13.2016
Smolburd cares deeply about the role of nonprofits, especially in meeting the needs of children, as well as the areas of social action and economic empowerment. “Len is joining a Foundation team committed to improving the quality of life for all those who live here in San Luis Obispo County and we look forward to the continued growth and impact of the Foundation’s grants programs,” CFSLOCO CEO Heidi McPherson said.
