Doc Burnstein’s is proud to announce exciting changes to corporate structure supporting our growth to 100 parlors. Greg Steinberger, Doc Burnstein’s legendary founder, has ascended to the position of Chairman of the Board while Michael Boyer has been appointed to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In Michael’s role as CEO, he is responsible for strategic direction, growth and operations of the business.

Previously, Michael was the Chief Operating Officer at Digital West, the leading business technology solutions company in San Luis Obispo County. Keeping with the spirit of Doc Burnstein’s Commitment to Community; Michael serves the community on multiple boards of directors, including Stand Strong, San Luis Obispo County YMCA, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation, St. Patrick School and the Five Cities Diversity Coalition.

The Doc Burnstein’s expansion into a national brand begins with opening 100 old-fashioned neighborhood parlors across California. The in-store lab experience gives customers a mix of nostalgia and whimsy to their ice cream parlor visit and is a friendly and fun place for people to connect and create memories.

As a registered Benefit Corporation and owned by the community, Doc Burnstein’s is committed to bringing more than just smiles with each new parlor. The company is known for supporting the community with school ‘Fun’draiser Nights, Blood Drives, Make-a-Wish campaigns and college scholarships. Steinberger expects their community-focused business model will drive Doc’s to become the most beloved ice cream brand across America.
