On Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dignity Health’s Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is hosting a public event – the Matthew Will Memorial Medical Center Grand Opening and community celebration – recognizing the completion of the impressive new building at 850 Fair Oaks Avenue, Arroyo Grande, CA.

Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab is helping to make this giant celebration special by providing a giant ice cream sandwich, similar to the one served on “Martha and Snoop’s Pot Luck Dinner Party” on VH1 in September (see attached video clip) serving over 500 guests at this auspicious event! Celebrate sweet success of this expansion and enjoy our premium, hand-crafted ice cream sandwiched between two chewy, brownie-cookie layers. It’s a giant “So-Good” that is “So-Great!”

The new medical center, adjacent to the hospital, will house a Dignity Health Lab and Imaging suite offering CT scans, X-ray, ultrasound, and bone density scanning capabilities. It will also offer specialty services such as orthopedics, neurology, and obstetrics and gynecology.

The third floor will house the newly appointed Mission Hope Cancer Center – Arroyo Grande, which will include a cancer resource center, a dietitian, a social worker, genetic counseling, nurse navigation, and appearance consulting for the center’s patients. For patient comfort, the infusion suite offers panoramic views of the Arroyo Grande Valley. The floor also features an expansive rehabilitation area for a variety of wellness classes.

Serving time starts at 11 a.m. and will continue until all the ice cream is shared. This is a festival-style event with many vendors, entertainment and fun for family and friends of the community. Support this wonderful addition to the Central Coast medical community.

Doc Burnstein’s emphasizes the importance of creating experiences for our local causes and giving back to the community. As part of Doc’s Giving Back Pledge, 10% of Doc’s annual profits are donated to community causes, in-store sponsored “Fun-draisers,” youth education, wellness programs and tuition assistance programs for their staff.
