Back by popular demand, the San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre is proud to present the family holiday classic A CHRISTMAS STORY.  Based on the popular 1983 motion picture, and written for the stage by Philip Grecian, A CHRISTMAS STORY is a festive and fun-filled holiday extravaganza.

Jean Shepherd’s hilarious memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s is narrated by grown-up Ralph Parker and follows 9-year-old “Ralphie” on his quest for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. (“I want an official Red Ryder carbine-action, 200-shot Range Model air rifle with a compass and this thing which tells time built right into the stock.”) Despite warnings that he’ll “shoot his eye out!” Ralphie wins the day against school bullies, parental resistance and even Santa’s admonitions.
