TechPitch whiteThe Cal Poly Small Business Development Center for Innovation (SBDC) and Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE), Softec, the Economic Vitality Corporation (EVC), and the Business & Entrepreneurship Center at Cuesta College (BEC) are calling all entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts to attend the 3rd Annual TechPitch competition.

At this community event, sponsored by Madonna Inn, eight select applicants will pitch their viable technology-related business idea(s) to a panel of prominent industry experts and investors. Out of those eight contestants, one winner will be chosen to receive valuable follow up services, contacts and opportunities from the affiliate organizations. At the event, attendees will also have an ability to be a part of the action by casting their vote for the “Viewers Choice Award.”

As a past attendee Thea Chase, director of the Cal Poly SBDC, had this to say about the event: “Not only is the program current and relevant – with a crowdfunding expert keynote and June McIvor providing updates on new Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules – but the pitches are entertaining and exciting, and the networking could change the course for your business or career.”

Cal Poly MBA student Sean Read stated he was keen to attend the event and said: “I’m not just excited for the pitches, but the whole night of fun that comes along with them! Dinner, drinks, and a night full of networking with prominent industry experts makes this event something that appeals to both my entrepreneurial spirit and future professional career.”
