French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC), a Dignity Health Member, in collaboration with the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo (CAPSLO), will hold a free mammogram clinic on Saturday, October 19 at CAPSLO’s Center for Health and Prevention, 705 Grand Ave., San Luis Obispo. This free clinic, held in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will be offered to women unable to qualify for state or federal programs to obtain this service.
Women interested in receiving a free mammogram must make an appointment for a clinical breast exam by calling CAPSLO at (805) 544-2478. At the time of the exam, participants will receive a referral for a same-day, free mammogram screening at the FHMC Women’s Health and Imaging Center, 1911 Johnson Ave., San Luis Obispo.
