An embezzlement or online attack can cripple a company in seconds — which is why among the many considerations for businesses owners, protecting your finances and intellectual property is one of the most important. We are bringing together government and private sector experts to lead a two-part series where you will learn the steps needed to prevent a devastating disaster at your company.
Each workshop will feature speakers with experience in fraud and cyber attack protection as well as hands-on exercises where attendees will work through their individual business protection plans. For the first time ever, we are offering a two-part Insight Studio series and the opportunity for you to purchase access to them together.
Led by members of the team at Glenn Burdette, this Insight Studio Workshop will discuss high profile local and national scandals and the financial management practices that, if implemented early, could have prevented them.
Additionally, Fred Pflum, Senior Investigator at the SLO County District Attorney’s Office will share the fraud and embezzlement cases his office has prosecuted in our community, and what we can learn form those precedents.
This hands-on session will give you the tools to:
- Understand the breadth of fraud and embezzlement
- Spot weak spots within your business
- Set up company-wide systems for communication and operational transparency
- Implement basic processes to protect your most sensitive documents
- Members: $25
- Future Members: $35
This virtual Insight Studio workshop includes a personalized approach and access to accompanying materials.
