Do you have ideas to make San Luis Obispo more resilient to extreme heat, wildfire, flooding, and drought? Considering joining a Working Group to share your input! The first Working Group will be held tonight from 6 – 7 PM.
Join a Working Group to learn about how climate change will impact San Luis Obispo and brainstorm strategies to help our city prepare and respond to climate change, increased risk of extreme heat, wildfire, flooding, and drought. Meetings will take place virtually on Zoom, so please register in advance for the group(s) you would like to attend. Each meeting will focus on one of four topics, listed below.
- Community Resilience Working Group – Monday, July 12th from 6-7 PM

- This meeting will include a short presentation on the anticipated climate impacts specific to San Luis Obispo and an activity to brainstorm and provide feedback on community-driven strategies to help our City prepare and respond to increased risk of extreme heat, wildfire, flooding, and drought with a focus on strategies for Community Resilience.
- Natural Environment Working Group – Tuesday, July 13th from 6-7 PM
- Built Environment Working Group – Wednesday, 14th from 6-7 PM
- Environmental Justice Working Group – Monday, July 19th from 6-7 PM
