Tiny Homes on Wheels Legal in San Luis Obispo!
Hosted by affordable housing nonprofit SmartShare Housing Solutions in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo and 19 other organizations, Tiny Footprint: Central Coast Tiny House & Net Zero Expo will offer an in-depth look at tiny houses as part of the movement toward more sustainable ways of living.
The tiny house craze is sweeping the nation, but if you’ve never seen one in person, prepare to be amazed. Tiny houses are more than cute, they’re sustainable and affordable by design. That’s why the City of San Luis Obispo now allows them in city backyards–only the second city in California to make them legal! Friday October 11 3-7 pm VIP only, Saturday and Sunday 10-5 open to the public. Food trucks. Please bike, walk, use transit or carpool and bring your own beverage container/dining kit. This is a zero-waste, low-carbon event. Thank you!

Our speaker lineup will help tiny house enthusiasts take it from dream to reality with info about permits, infrastructure, design and construction, yardshare agreements, materials, utility hookups and off-grid options.

Building your own home is one of the most empowering experiences you can have–learn skills and an overview of the construction process at workshops during the Expo.
