The 12th annual San Luis Obispo Greek Festival will be held at its new location, Madonna Expo Center, 100 Madonna Rd., SLO, 93405, Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. Come share legendary food, dancing and music! This family-friendly event is a fundraiser for St. Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church, which supports many charitable groups in San Luis Obispo County. Some of these charitable groups include the SLO Noor Foundation, SLO Food Bank and the Prado Day Center.

Highlights of the 2-day festival include:

  • Authentic Greek food and pastries
  • Beer and local wines
  • Greek music and dancing
  • Performances by traditional Greek dance groups
  • Hellenic cultural booth
  • Community booth
  • A marketplace with unique gifts and souvenirs

The festival menu will feature an array of authentic and traditional Greek dishes, prepared by using fresh ingredients from cherished family recipes. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be available. The classic Greek sandwich, the Gyro, will be served, as well as the flavorful Souvlaki (shish kebab). And the ever-popular Greek feta fries will be returning this year. Visitors will be able to satisfy their sweet tooth with traditional Greek pastries. Wine, beer, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase.

Dancing is a vital element in the Greek culture and during the festival, guests will witness a variety of traditional Greek dances performed by youth and adult groups. Throughout the weekend, the dancers will be teaching the basics of Greek dancing to anyone who wants to learn. Before you know it, you will be out there joining our dance groups and doing the Syrto and other traditional dances!

Be sure to save time for shopping! The festival features a distinctive marketplace, known as an “Agora” in ancient Greece, where our vendors offer many one-of-a-kind items for sale. This unique shopping “Agora” is one for the experience!
