September Scramble

The San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department invites local families to its 4th annual September Scramble on Saturday, September 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Laguna Lake Golf Course. The kid’s obstacle course is open to participants ages 5 to 13 and there are various times for different age groups to participate.

For just $10 per child or $20 for a family, competitors will enjoy 13 obstacles built over a 0.75-mile path throughout the golf course designed to challenge kids’ imaginations and abilities. Some highlights include a climbing wall, hay bale hurdles, tunnels, net climbs, mud run, and balance beams. Parents can register to run the course with their child after the child has completed the first lap on their own.

September Scramble

September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month and the September Scramble was developed by the City’s Parks and Recreation staff to help prevent childhood obesity, promote healthy eating and physical activity, and increase awareness of childhood obesity. The event is once again being sponsored by Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate.
