As Director of Membership, Jill LeMieux has served as a touchpoint for all our members, creating connections and opportunity within our business community. As she looks forward to the next chapter in her life, Jill will be ending her tenure after nearly seven years with the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.

“Jill has been an integral part of the Chamber team, and I, along with the Chamber team and our members, have truly appreciated Jill’s dedication and commitment to the mission of the SLO Chamber,” said Chamber CEO Jim Dantona. “On behalf of a grateful organization, I would like thank Jill for her amazing contributions to this cause.”

Jill said the Chamber is not just a membership organization but a key partner to SLO County’s business community.

“This Chamber is like no other Chamber I’ve ever seen, and I’m honored to have been a part of that,” she said. “It is evident to me every day that our membership cares deeply about this community, and it’s inspiring to work with and alongside the folks that make our local economy thrive.”

As Jill steps away from her role, Kaila Anderson will take over as the SLO Chamber Director of Membership.

“I’m excited to make the transition from Membership Relations to my new role as Director of Membership for the SLO Chamber,” Kaila said. “I feel fortunate to have been raised, educated and able to build my career in SLO County, and am proud to be a part of such a wonderful organization that supports the needs of our business community.”

Jill noted that Kaila’s experience in Chamber membership will serve her well as she transitions into her new position as Director.

“I have the utmost confidence in Kaila as she utilizes her experience so far at the Chamber to take on this new role, and I can’t wait to witness the way she shapes our members and the Chamber,” Jill said.

Having grown up in Atascadero and graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Business Administration, Kaila has strong ties to the San Luis Obispo community. Before working at the SLO Chamber, Kaila’s most tenured previous position was Director of Marketing and Communications for the Economic Vitality Corporation of SLO County. There Kaila gained essential skills in communication, outreach and liaison building. She is also a member of Leadership SLO Class 29, as well as a graduate of Leadership North County.

In addition to her new role as Director of Membership, Kaila will lead our Ambassadors and the Membership Council.

Kaila is excited to continue to grow and strengthen the SLO Chamber membership in her new role.

“I look forward to building upon the SLO Chamber’s strong foundation to best serve our membership well into the future,” she said.
