French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC), which along with Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH), and Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC), are Dignity Health Central Coast hospitals, is pleased to announce a Diabetes Education Class to provide education and resources to those with the disease, those newly diagnosed or those who would like a refresher course.
This series of classes is designed for those with diabetes, and family members and caregivers, and will cover a variety of topics. The objective of the class is to empower patients to better manage this disease. Upcoming classes are as follows: Tuesday, October 24 from 1-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 31 from 1-2:30 p.m., and Tuesday, November 7 from 1-2:30 p.m. Classes will be held on the Copeland Health Education Pavilion’s second floor, room 216, located on the FHMC campus at 1911 Johnson Avenue, San Luis Obispo.
These community classes will be led by Angela Fissell, M.S., R.D. registered dietitian nutritionist and the classes will be free of charge and open to the public. Participants should plan to attend each session.
