After years of serving hundreds of students a free meal every week,
Front Porch is finding new ways to meet students’ needs for food and community during the pandemic.
We are providing pick-up or deliveries of 100 meal kits or ready-to-eat meals every Wednesday from March 31 to June 2 from 4 to 5 outside of Front Porch at 1468 E Foothill Boulevard. After our meal distribution, we host a community night at 6 pm either over Zoom or outdoors in front of Front Porch.
Meal distribution will always be from 4 to 5 in front of Front Porch. To request a meal delivery, DM the Front Porch Instagram @frontporchslo.
On 3/31, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, and 5/26, we will host trivia online in our Zoom room (zoom ID is 805 805 1468).
On 4/7 and 6/2, we will have an outdoor, socially distanced community activity outside Front Porch to celebrate the beginning and end of the spring quarter.
On 4/21, 5/5, and 5/19, we will host a discussion on current issues and student interests, either outside Front Porch or in our Zoom room.
