For more than 17 years, Vieni Vai Trattoria has been a staple amongst SLO eateries with its traditional Italian cuisine and handpicked wines. The downtown establishment will undergo a revamp and remodel in the next couple of months and will feature authentic modern Italian dishes. Giuseppe Silvestre, the founder and longtime owner, has recently handed the corkscrew over to his youngest daughter Gessica and her husband Alberto Russo, a Salerno, Italy transplant. The yet-to-be-named restaurant will feature a revamped wine and cocktail list as well as dinner and lunch menus that, according to insiders, will cater to their individual strengths. The restaurant will still feature the only wood burning pizza oven in the city.
