The County of San Luis Obispo Office of Emergency Services (County OES) is requesting information from businesses who may have suffered economic losses as a result of the Highway 1 closure, related to the Mud Creek Slide. Should the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) determine that the economic impacts were enough to meet their disaster loan criteria, they may make low-interest loans available to those with eligible losses, due to loss of business revenue.

This is for San Luis Obispo County businesses economically impacted by the closure. This is a preliminary request for information and not a loan application. If the SBA determines that San Luis Obispo County is eligible, the application and loan process will be provided at that time. To fill out the information form, please visit the County OES website at: http://www.slocounty.ca.gov/OES/emergencyinfo.htm

The SBA currently has a loan program for businesses suffering economic impacts related to the February 2017 severe storms and flooding, which can be found on the SBA website: https://www.sba.gov/offices/disaster/dfocw/declaration/1571746

County OES is passing along this information gathering request on behalf of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the U.S. Small Business Administration. They have no specific information on the SBA loan process.
