Looking for a space to host your next strategic planning session, client appreciation or educational event?
Your fellow SLO Chambers members throughout the region can offer you the venue, environment and amenities you’re seeking.
It’s no secret that we have it all: Our region boasts great year-round weather and countless activities for conference-goers to enjoy. You can entice attendees with outdoor fun, such as zip-lining and whale watching. There’s coastal beaches and local wineries in Paso Robles and Edna Valley. Your guests can visit the historic Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, or shop and dine in the area’s charming downtowns.
SLO Chamber members up and down the county can accommodate an exclusive group of 20 CEOs, a board of directors, or 300 managers or sales personnel.
“We have a great selection of independent, upscale, boutique properties, and more coming soon to downtown Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach,” said Dusty Colyer-Worth, Visitor Center manager. “At the other end, San Luis Obispo County has welcoming and wired space for groups of up to 300 conference attendees.”
With San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport service to Phoenix, San Francisco and LA, and new flights that include direct connections to Seattle, Denver and Dallas, it’s easier than ever to get here. In fact, travelers can fly here from more than 17,000 destinations in one or two stops.
The booking window for conference and event venues for large groups is 6-12 months. There are great values to be found during April and May, and from September to November, which coincides with the wine harvests.
“We are excited to see out-of-town conferences coming to our community,” said Jim Dantona, president and CEO of the SLO Chamber. “But we want to make sure our members, too, are finding and booking the right spots to help them grow and evolve.”
The Chamber’s San Luis Obispo Visitors Guide is a great resource for conference and event planners. Published annually for more than 30 years, the guide provides comprehensive listings of lodgings, restaurants, and conference venues, along with area attractions and events.
