Each month, the Human Resources Association of the Central Coast holds professional development meetings to discuss labor relations, legislation, cutting edge strategic planning options, and employer resources critical to the success of doing business in the Central Coast.

In May, HRCC is proud to present Mary L. Bonilla, associate chief of enforcement for the State of California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Mary will give a general overview on the Fair Employment and Housing regulations that are enforced by the DFEH and how they apply in recruiting along with applicable CA employment laws.

The Fair Employment and Housing enforces state laws that prohibit harassment and discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations and investigates complaints alleging hate violence or threats of hate violence. The Enforcement Division is the investigatory arm of the DFEH.

HRCC’s May professional development meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Madonna Inn. RSVP here by May 10 at noon. Lunch will include Tuna Salad on a Bed of Greens or Three Cheese Tortellini with Marinara Sauce and Toffee Crunch Cake for dessert; gluten-free pasta is also an option.
