The second annual Imagination Park Fall Classic has two new major event sponsors: local accounting firm Glenn Burdette and Mission Community Bank.

Hosted by Blue Rooster Telecom on September 13 at Monarch Dunes, the Imagination Park Fall Classic will double as a competitive tournament and Golf-a-thon. It offers hole-in-one prizes, food and beverages at every hole, and a $10,000 putting contest, while also allowing online supporters to root for their team and donate.

“CPAs like to have fun, too,” says Dan O’Hare, a partner at Glenn Burdette. “But the main reason we decided to join this effort is because we love Jack’s Helping Hand. We don’t know of another organization that does as much for families in our community or gets more out of the generous donations they receive. All donors want their dollars to stretch and do the most good possible.”

The tournament’s goal is to raise $40,000 to benefit the Jack Ready Imagination Park in Nipomo, CA as a service of Jack’s Helping Hand. The 33-acre public park is the only one of its kind on the Central Coast, offering a universally accessible place for children of all ages, regardless of physical limitations, so they can play side by side. This will be a destination park used by families all over California.

“One of the best things about the Imagination Park Fall classic is that the format welcomes golfers and non-golfers alike,” said Brooks Wise of Mission Community Bank. “In fact, many of the online team members are kids and their families who are involved with Jack’s Helping Hand. They want to give back and also help in the efforts to build the new park.”

Half of last year’s golf teams joined the event online, which is what makes this tournament unique and inclusive. Unlike most golf tournaments, which are open to golfers only, the Imagination Park Fall Classic is open to everyone. Each golf team can create a profile here. Once the team is created online, the public can view their profile, join and support a team, or simply donate under to the event under their favorite team name. The tournament hopes to eventually attract 36 team captains and teams to golf, and 1,000 more local online supporters to help the teams raise funds.

The tournament offers several levels for sponsorships. Each Tourney Event Sponsor has the opportunity to put their brand in front of players, volunteers and other sponsors with premium signage and representation throughout the event and its promotions.
