SPOKES Resources for Nonprofits announced that Beth Kanter, internationally renowned author and past Visiting Scholar from the David and Lucille Packard Foundation, will be the featured speaker on November 15, 2019 at an all-day Nonprofit Symposium. The City of San Luis Obispo and Document Solutions are sponsors of this event which will be held at Agape Church, 950 Laureate Lane in SLO from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Beth Kanter is the author of several books, two of which will be the basis of the morning and afternoon interactive workshops.
The morning workshop, “Avoiding Burnout” will be based on Beth’s book, The Happy, Healthy Nonprofit. Learn how organizational culture influences employees’ well-being and how to keep nonprofit leaders and employees motivated and avoid burnout. Learn how to set up a simple process with maximum output and less stress.
In the afternoon session, “Digital Fundraising”, learn how to create a powerful digital strategy for your nonprofit and practice techniques to appeal to your audience through stories that can be shared through digital and other channels. The afternoon workshop is based on Beth’s book, Measuring the Networked Nonprofit.
Cost is $75 for SPOKES members and $105 for future members (general admission). Attendance can be split (morning and afternoon) between two participants.
