San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre is thrilled to kick off the second half of its 2019- 2020 Season with Always…Patsy Cline. Created and originally directed by Ted Swindley, Always…Patsy Cline is a true story about Cline’s friendship with Louise Seger, a fan from Houston who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her tragic death in 1963. Featuring a live band on the intimate SLO REP stage, funny and often poignant tales of Patsy’s life on the road are told with down-home country humor and brought to life through music and even some audience participation.

The show includes more than two dozen of Patsy Cline’s biggest hits, including “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and “Sweet Dreams”. Much more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically in a plane crash in 1963, Always…Patsy Cline keeps this longtime friendship center-stage and takes audiences through the ups and downs of Patsy’s career, from her breakthrough on live radio, to her rise to fame at the Grand Ole Opry. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letters to Seger, which were consistently signed “Love ALWAYS… Patsy Cline.”

The show runs February 7 – March 8 with performances Wednesdays through Sundays at 7 pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm. SLO REP is located at 888 Morro Street, right next to City Hall, in downtown San Luis Obispo. Ticket prices range from $40-$55 and are available at www.slorep.org or by calling (805) 786-2440.
