King David’s Masonic Lodge is pleased to extend an invitation to their special Constitution Month events, “Unveiling Our National Treasure: The Newly Conserved Brother George Washington Portrait” and “Commemoration of the Twentieth Anniversary of the Events on September 11, 2001″. These events will take place on September 11, 2021 at 859 Marsh Street in San Luis Obispo.
The ”Unveiling…” presentations will commence at 2:00 p.m. Historians from The History Center of San Luis Obispo County, a representative of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, and conservators from the Fine Art Conservation Laboratories in Santa Barbara will explain why this 1870 painting by French Artist Leon Trousset is a treasure.
The “Commemoration…” dinner, catered by Café Roma, will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a “Meet and Greet” time at 5:00 p.m. including hors d’oeuvres. Reservations for the dinner are required. Please call (805) 543-9291 or email [email protected] for more details.
