Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County was recently awarded “Gold Standard” recognition by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for program quality, excellence, growth and financial stability. The honor was given to the 16 top-performing Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies throughout the country, putting the local agency in the top 5% of agencies in the nation.
“The Gold Standard Award recognizes the hard work of agency leadership and staff in providing high-quality programming for the children we serve. We are honored by our board, staff and volunteers who brought our mission of one-to-one mentoring to nearly 400 children during 2015 and over 2,000 children since opening in 1995.”
