Locally owned and operated Oak and Otter Brewing Company and non-profit organization Pacific Wildlife Care (PWC) have joined forces to introduce the “Keeping it Wild IPA”, a beer that supports Pacific Wildlife Care and their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife on the Central Coast. This hop-forward, West Coast style IPA has strong tropical fruit notes which are perfect for a beautiful spring day on the Central Coast. $2 of each pint will be donated in Pacific Wildlife Care and their mission.

“We are proud to support local nonprofits who are doing significant work to better San Luis Obispo County,” say Oak and Otter Brewing Co. co-owner Dylan Roddick. “The work that Pacific Wildlife Care does to help local wildlife is truly impressive and well worth supporting.” The name “Keeping it Wild” was selected to highlight the amazing work by PWC to help injured animals return to nature, thus keeping them wild.

For over 35 years, Pacific Wildlife Care, has been supporting San Luis Obispo County wildlife in need through rescue, rehabilitation, and release. PWC is the only licensed organization in SLO County that treats injured, orphaned, sick and pollution-damaged birds, land/air mammals and reptiles/amphibians with the goal of releasing back to the wild. Craig Christakos, PWC Board Member on the Fundraising Committee says, “We really enjoyed working with Oak and Otter Brewing, Co. to create a new brew that truly captures the feeling of the joy in keeping our local wildlife wild.”

Oak and Otter Brewing is pouring Keeping it Wild IPA in their taproom located on 181 Tank Farm Road, Suite 110 and are open seven days a week for outdoor and partial indoor dining, per current County health guidelines.
