Los Padres Council, Boy Scouts of America is a local nonprofit that is dedicated to providing fun, character-building programs to families throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. This year, the Council is thrilled to celebrate their centennial year with their first event of the season: Family Festival! Family Festival, also known as Scout-O-Rama, is a day for Scouting and non-Scouting families to enjoy Scout activities. The event will be at Madonna Inn Meadows (100 Madonna Rd, San Luis Obispo CA, 93405) on Saturday, May 4 from 9 am to 4 pm. These activities include monkey bridges, rain gutter regatta, knot tying and so much more! Friends and families can come to enjoy the day and maybe even learn a thing or two as well!
“The Scout-o-Rama is an opportunity for Scouts to demonstrate the skills they have learned by creating a fun and interactive experience with those skills – by walking across a monkey bridge or taking their turn at the confidence wall. And in turn, the Community can come in and participate in the activities and learn about Scouting and see Scouts from all around the area interacting in a fun, constructive and instructive way.” Says Event Chair and Coordinator, Michael Britton.
The best part? Admission is free! So, come on down to Madonna Inn Meadows on Saturday, May 4 for fun that the whole family can enjoy.
Los Padres Council would like to extend a special thanks to Madonna Inn, for their generous site donation, and our event sponsors: Home Chevrolet, Paso Robles Waste, Paul Viborg, Atascadero Rotary, Woods Humane Society, Hamon Overhead Door Company, Idlers Home, HelpRYouth, SolarPonics, Loyal Order of Moose #2067, Wealth Source Partners, and AT&T.
