The mixed-use project under construction at the corner of Marsh and Nipomo streets – across from Foster’s Freeze—is nearing its final leg. All of the eight single-family homes have sold, as have two of the four lofts, all of which are being developed by Mangano Homes and are expected to be completed by the end of this summer. Meanwhile, insiders report that there is healthy interest in the nearly 8,500 square feet of commercial space—divided into five units—which are expected to be ready for occupancy this fall. One potential buyer is looking at converting two of the units into a corner restaurant, while another is considering turning one of the units into a salon/spa. Reportedly, there is a third buyer interested in picking up the entire commercial space to sublease.
