The San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre’s Academy of Creative Theatre will kick off Summer 2018 with a “practically perfect” summer musical: Disney’s “Mary Poppins, JR!” Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Tony Awards nominations, this version of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins has been specially adapted for young performers, but keeps the magic of the original intact. It’s the perfect summer musical for the whole family to enjoy together. “Mary Poppins, JR.” runs July 13-22, Thursday to Saturday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets range in price from

“Mary Poppins, JR.” is directed by Shelagh Garren, with musical direction provided by Lacey McNamara and Danielle McNamara, and choreography by Danya Nunley. The San Luis Obispo RepertoryTheatre’s Academy of Creative Theatre provides year-round theatrical training for youth ages 5-18.
