The San Luis Obispo Master Chorale presents its 4th Annual Messiah Sing-along extravaganza on Saturday, December 15, at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo. Come one, come all, SLO Master Chorale encourages the audience to sing along throughout the show. Join the 90-voice chorale and chamber orchestra in singing some of the season’s most beloved choruses, including the famous “Hallelujah Chorus.” Let the beautiful sounds of Handel’s music surround the beautiful Harold Miossi Hall, as Music Director Thomas Davies promises an evening of grand celebration!
This year’s Messiah Sing-along will feature Westwood Brass, a remarkable quintet from Los Angeles and Paul Woodring on the amazing Forbes Pipe Organ that will add to the festive spirit. In addition to selections from Messiah, the San Luis Obispo Master Chorale will perform Cal Poly professor Meredith Brammeier’s “Gloria”, for double choir, brass quintet and organ. Also included will be Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Wassail” song, as well as “Veni, Veni,” arranged by Chip Davis for his extremely popular ensemble, Mannheim Steamroller.
This holiday tradition will be a treat for the whole family with all seats at $15 in the magnificent Performing Arts Center on the Cal Poly campus. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the PAC box office at (805) 756-4849.
