Cal Poly Arts announces an added matinee performance: An Afternoon of Classic Lily Tomlin – Saturday, January 19, 2019, 3 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.
Get together with Lily Tomlin for unforgettable fun and sidesplitting laughter. This unique comic character artist takes her audience on what the Washington Post calls a “wise and howlingly funny” trip with more than a dozen of her timeless characters – from Ernestine to Mrs. Beasley to Edith Ann. Don’t miss this warm and uniquely affecting experience filled with comical insights and wildly, witty observations about the human condition. An audience Q&A follows. (Ages 13+)
“With astounding skill and energy, Tomlin zaps through the channels like a human remote control.” (NY Daily News)
Her long list of awards includes a Grammy, two Tonys, six Emmys, an Oscar nomination, two Peabodys, and the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. She currently stars on the Netflix hit, “Grace & Frankie.”
Student and adult tickets for each performance range from $40-$110 and may be purchased in advance at the Cal Poly Ticket Office, Monday – Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., located on Grand Avenue on the Cal Poly campus; by phone at 805-756-4849; online at www.calpolyarts.org.
