Through the first five months of 2017 our Ambassadors have volunteered more than 650 hours to help new members navigate Chamber events, network at Mixers, and generally support Chamber goals. In short, the Ambassadors are one of the main drivers behind Chamber activities and the reason we can offer so much to our members.

Serving a 12-month commitment, Ambassadors are charged with helping members better connect with the Chamber and to one another.

What is your favorite thing about being an ambassador? Meeting people and learning about what they do.

What is your advice for someone who is attending a Chamber event for the first time? Talk to strangers – they won’t be strangers next time!

How long have you been an ambassador? I have been an ambassador for 3 years!

What is your favorite thing about being an ambassador? I love being on the front lines of welcoming people to our wonderful town. I also love to share what an awesome Chamber of Commerce and why.

What is your advice for someone who is attending a Chamber event for the first time? Look for an Ambassador! Let them do their job and introduce them to good contacts and business owners who are like minded or could be beneficial to their business.

How long have you been an ambassador? Since 1/1/2017 My Rookie year…

What is your favorite thing about being an ambassador? Meeting new people, and learning a lot about our community. It’s just fastening some of the companies that are in this area.

What is your advice for someone who is attending a Chamber event for the first time? Meet as many people as possible. They could be your competitor, but more than likely they could be your customers or know your customers.  Networking is a powerful tool.

How long have you been an ambassador? This is my second year

What is your favorite thing about being an ambassador? I love the opportunity to meet so many members. There are business members that I’ve never heard of and probably wouldn’t have had I not been on this committee.

What is your advice for someone who is attending a chamber event for the first time? Don’t be shy! It can seem overwhelming when you first walk in. But the great thing about the folks who attend, and host the events, is that while they know a lot of people, they always want to get to know one more!

What is your favorite thing about being an ambassador? Being introduced to new people & businesses.

What is your advice for someone who is attending a chamber event for the first time? Go with a seasoned buddy.
